Floods, ear infection, Christmas Season for a caterer, malaise, truck troubles, inertia, more truck troubles, more ear weirdness, more malaise....OK, OK! These are possible reasons why I have not been seen in these parts for a while. But I am still on the mighty Dukan Diet and I have lost 40 pounds!!! This is the halfway mark for me. I am really still very enthused about the whole process. The weight is not jumping off like it was at first, but the progress is steady. No remarkable results every day but a general downward trend. Kind of plodding. I have promised to be candid in this telling of the journey so here are the bullet points. I have completely shut down on the exercising. Not that I am sedentary, but as far as a concerted effort to get a 30 minute walk in...? Not happening. Lets see if by saying what is so, I will be motivated into getting back to the basics. I am doing well on the hydration, eating the correct foods and am losing slowly. But I need to get re-dedicated to the process.
Kicking myself has never had any positive results and I never do it for very long. So one swift, well placed foot to rear.... I am sure I needed that.
But I have had some good moments. I gave away all my fat shirts!!! I dumped 24 XXXL or XXXXL shirts in the donation box. That was uplifting. I had some shirts that I really hated, but I wore them anyway. Why was I into orange shirts? Can you say PUMPKIN? Really. It is what I looked like.
I have bought about 8 shirts to wear in the interim. I am TUCKING IN my new shirts. I have been wearing camp style shirts for years now. They are square cut on the bottom and are meant for wearing without tucking. MuuMuus. So no mas MuuMuu!
So I am back and I ahve to tell you about Thanksgiving, about catering during the holidays and about being concerned about the planet. Really. Tune in.
